Top 10 tips for looking after your Invisalign^® clear aligners

Do's

Thoroughly rinse your aligners each time you take them out.
Brush your clear aligners nightly with toothpaste and a soft toothbrush (a different one than you use for your teeth).
Brush and floss your teeth after each meal and before putting your aligners back in.
Safely store your aligners in your hard plastic case when you remove them to eat, drink, play sports, practise instruments, or brush your teeth.
Wear your clear aligners as often as possible, following the recommendations of your Specialist Orthodontist.

Don'ts

Eat or drink while wearing your clear aligners. You can easily remove them to enjoy your favourite foods!
Use coloured toothpaste or rinses in order to avoid permanently staining or damaging your aligners.
Attempt to wash your clear aligners by running them through the dishwasher or by exposing them to extreme heat, such as boiling water.
Re-use old aligners after your Specialist Orthodontist has advised you to move to the next set.
Try to bend or adjust your aligners. Let your Specialist Orthodontist know if it seems like there’s a problem with the fit or if one of your aligners breaks.
